Primary Purpose
The purpose of the Finance Administrator position is to monitor and coordinate Commission and Accounts Payable activities. Under general supervision, the Finance Administrator is also responsible for providing assistance, advice, and guidance to support the financial needs of students.
Specific Responsibilities
The Finance Administrator is responsible for the following as well as other related duties as assigned to support the business objectives and purpose of the University:
- Support the finance department by providing precise and timely information as needed.
- Comprehend and enforce corporate financial policies and protocols.
- Collaborate in internal and external audits related to business office operations.
- Record accounting entries for performance-related transactions.
- Conduct reconciliation for accounts payable linked to commissions.
- Execute processing of agent commission invoices.
- Establish and maintain active, effective communication channels to foster cohesive working relationships internally and externally.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills while addressing student queries.
- Apply commission payments accurately.
- Participate in various tasks concerning students' accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Competencies:
- Proficiency in managing tasks within tight deadlines maintaining composure during high-volume periods.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Comprehension of the University's provided programs and services.
- Demonstrated capacity to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficient use of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong numerical and data manipulation skills.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Possesses a positive attitude and a customer-centric approach.
- Exhibits sound judgment and ability to prioritize tasks.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 experience in a fast-paced office setting, with a preference for roles within the Accounting or Finance departments.
- Completion of 2 years of post-secondary education in a Finance or Accounting program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
