Finance Manager Jobs

Big Mountain Foods is a plant based food manufacturer specializing in allergen free and clean label products. Big Mountain has developed and commercialized the first ever soy free tofu and is rapidly expanding this product across the USA and Canada.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join Big Mountain Foods, a leading consumer packaged goods manufacturer. As the Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting senior leadership in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes. This position requires a combination of strategic thinking, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management, cost accounting, budgeting, and have experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Analyze financial performance, including sales data, cost analysis, and profitability, to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies, objectives, and initiatives.
• Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making processes.

Accounting and Financial Operations:

• Maintain cost accounting systems, monitor inventory valuation, and provide cost analysis to optimize manufacturing and supply chain operations.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Manage payroll activities, including compensation calculations, benefits administration, and adherence to payroll regulations.

Budgeting and Cost Management:

• Conduct regular financial reviews with department managers to ensure adherence to budgets and cost targets.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing explanations and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvement.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop detailed budgets aligned with company objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support cost reduction initiatives across the organization.

Financial Relationship Management:

• Assist in preparing financial information and presentations for potential investors or lenders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for bankers, investors, and external auditors.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions to support funding requirements and capital structure optimization.
• Coordinate financial audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Qualifications:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven experience 5 + years as a Finance Manager or similar role in the consumer packaged goods industry.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
