Description


The Commercial Sales Representative is tasked with growing the commercial account portfolio of the Company for Lubricants, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), and related Energy products. The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for business development, with the primary focus placed on acquiring new customers while growing current relationships. This role is open to candidates within the GTA.


Markets served include Commercial Fleets, Construction, Industrial, Automotive, and Agriculture.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop expert product knowledge, becoming a trusted advisor and technical resource for customers and colleagues.
  • Maintain positive relationships with existing customers, acting as a primary point of contact in the territory.
  • Promote a professional customer service attitude by leading by example in the community.
  • Cultivate and maintain business relationships with suppliers, contractors, dealers, and other sources of referrals.
  • Research markets to identify opportunities that offer maximum potential and engage with the right customer stakeholders.
  • Gain new customers for products offered by MacEwen in an assigned geographic territory through value-based selling.
  • Evaluate customer needs and understand market drivers to develop tailored, value-driven proposals that ensure appropriate service/product delivery and pricing.
  • Understand account profitability and gain appropriate documentation for equipment and supply agreements, ensuring a positive return on investment.
  • Collaborate with division staff to coordinate required installations and service work.
  • Provides regular reporting and updates on a sales pipeline.


Requirements


  • Highly self-motivated and thrives in an independent work setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in selling Petroleum, Lubricants or Industrial related products is preferred (B2B)
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategy and achieving sales objectives.
  • Customer centric mindset, focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to MacEwen locations throughout Ontario on occasion.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
