POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager, Petroleum Field Operations, the Business Training Analyst, is responsible for supporting and delivering training and development programs that deliver to business objectives. Working closely with the Business Training Specialist and supporting the UFA Petroleum Network in understanding the policies, processes, procedures, and controls for site and product handling including administrative functions; minimizing risk, environmental and financial. This position will also support a very aggressive project schedule for 2023/2024 and will require at least 50% field travel.
This is a one-year term position with the potential for permanent placement.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide support and subject matter expertise for approved policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provides consultation to management for the development of job-specific training.
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and determine subsequent training and development priorities across the network.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure best practice and ongoing review of process, procedures, and systems for efficiencies.
- Collaborate with Petroleum Management and other departments, discussing action plans and best practices to meet the business objectives, needs, and identify performance gaps.
- Identify appropriate training tools and methods (such as e-learning, multimedia, workshop, performance support aids, paper-based solutions, blended solutions, etc., supporting specialized skills and knowledge through self-directed learning.
- Minimize risk, for both corporate and business partner, through a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of standard operating procedure, product handling and administrative functions.
- Advise in the design, maintenance, and implementation of instructional material for business processes, procedures, systems, and controls; implement programs that deliver desired behaviors and skills.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the UFA Petroleum network.
- Diploma or certificate in Business Management with 2 - 3 years Petroleum Operations experience. Bachelor of Commerce is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics
- CTDP – Certified Training and Development Professional designation is preferred.
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suites.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated skills in Change Management. Demonstrated leadership ability an asset
- Strong background in training and development, customer service, and practical knowledge of UFA process and procedures.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology and systems quickly and easily
