Business Analyst Jobs

Our Calgary-based partner requires the need of a Senior Business Analyst to support an Asset Tracking and Reporting project. The project is focused on tracking the assets related to metering devices and any subsequent reporting.

This role will support the capture of requirements for reporting to the business, i.e., determine what data/information the various aspects of the business require as part of financial and operational reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Help manage implementation of new solutions (document and track requirements, oversee testing of implementation, track and report status)
• Report technical and business issues to the solution delivery team.
• Identify risks and work with project leadership to mitigate them.
• Other tasks and activities as defined by the project manager
• Project Scoping and dependency identification
• Collaborate with application SMEs, business owners, and solution architects to understand integration points and document the requirements thereof
• Support Program and Project Managers in project planning, management activities, and delivery of project objectives.

Required Experience:

• CBAP or PBA certification is recommended but not required.
• Stakeholder management skills – this is critical; this project touches several business areas and will have a broad reach of stakeholders with varying goals.
• Some knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and how reporting is derived
• Utility experience
• Geographical Information System (GIS) knowledge
• Metering knowledge
• Asset management knowledge
• Thorough understanding of business requirements gathering and agile techniques and methods.
• Experience in the following disciplinaries:
• Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC)
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in business analysis
