Carbon Management Canada (CMC) is looking for a technology and business analyst who will help CMC in the creation of proposals, reports and presentations on topics within the CCUS field. The analyst will support the development and progression of CMC projects, techno-economic assessments and life cycle analyses.
Key responsibilities and duties of the position include:
- Researching provincial and federal policies and regulations that may impact the uptake of technologies;
- Conduct life cycle analyses to help clients understand where and how to focus on decarbonization strategies;
- Assess the applicability of technologies to industries using cost, operation and technical data;
- Identify regulatory requirements and barriers.
- User and market research;
- Develop metrics for business planning; and
- Research and understand a technology’s competitive positioning by identifying and benchmarking competitor technologies;
- Working with CMC’s team to provide insight and inform decision making and business planning;
- Evaluate the economics of technologies;
- Support clients in assessing their position in the market and advising on expansion to new markets and/or customer segments;
Other tasks may include:
- Developing presentations, infographics and reports;
- Feasibility studies;
- Supporting proposal development;
- Conducting data analysis;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Deliver project management support;
- Support the development of CMC’s strategy and vision and provide assistance to CMC’s communications team to highlight services and expertise; and
Required Qualification and Skills:
- Data analysis skills; and
- Exceptional writing and presentation skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with project management and time management skills.
- Able to travel to CMC’s Newell County Facility to perform supervised field duties as required;
- Willingness to learn new things, take on new challenges and use research skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Business knowledge and a background in engineering or science (preferred);
