As a Technology Analyst reporting to the Manager, Digital Construction, you will deliver, support, and operate the Business Technology services delivered to our customers. You will be a technical administrator and customer liaison. With a primary focus on customer service, you will play an integral part in connecting the business to technology solutions and support groups. As part of the team, you will monitor systems daily and ensure all components are maintained and work reliably to meet business needs. The successful candidate will provide a proactive approach, with a customer-first philosophy.
Here's how a Technology Analyst for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:
Responsibilities

• Maintains technology standards and processes for use by other team staff
• Acts as a liason between other Business Technology teams when creating new technical solutions
• Delivers projects under the guidance and direction of team leads and managers
• Tracks technology asset management
• Configures, monitors, and supports field networks, servers and software
• Assists the Networking and Security Team with the design, maintenance, monitoring and support of network, desktop, server deployments and application systems
• Seeks out issues, problems and opportunities for new solutions
• Delivers and supports projects and enhancements
• Assists and coaches team members in technical knowledge
• Acts as the first-level technical support for System Administrators and job site technology mobilization and demobilization services including jobsite servers, wired and wireless networks, and various construction technologies
• Provides escalation support for jobsite technology mobilization and demobilization services including district and job site servers, wired and wireless networks, and various construction technologies
• Performs a variety of technical operations duties and maintenance tasks

Qualifications

• 2-year post-secondary diploma in an IT-related field.
• Microsoft Hyper-V
• Intermediate problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Dell hardware (servers, storage, laptops and desktops)
• Basic experience with the following technologies will be highly recommended:
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment and with employees at all levels/disciplines of the organization
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with a geographically dispersed team
• Basic understanding and experience with enterprise networking, server management, virtualization, monitoring systems and storage platforms
• 1-2 years experience in related IT field
• Aruba hardware (switches and APs)
• Ability to manage multiple products and solutions simultaneously
