About the Role
The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of enhancements and changes to existing systems. To succeed in this role, you have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and thrive in a changing and fast paced environment. Your ultimate goal is to improve systems and processes– increase usability for end users, enhance functionality and provide management the information needed to run the business smoothly and efficiently.
DUTIES:
- Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to usability, security, performance, and data quality issues
- Follow internal IT policies (e.g., change management) and use the ticketing system to keep track of service requests and changes
- Develop use cases, document requirements, complete the installation, configuration, initial data loading, testing and hand over to users, by working with software vendors and/or internal staff
- Interact with functional leaders and users to clarify business requirements and changes needed
- Assist users in all aspects of system use. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
- Other project work, as assigned by management
- Create and maintain documentation for all aspects of the system
- Evaluate training needs, develop user guides, and provide system training to all users
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pass a criminal record check
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central considered an asset
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks, prioritize, change quickly and work under pressure
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain or related, plus a minimum of 4 years’ recent experience in a similar role. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- General knowledge of various enterprise systems such as ERP, QMS, LIMS, manufacturing, scheduling, finance. Experience in supporting ERP/MRP applications and how they support Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Quality, Shipping/Receiving and Finance is a bonus.
- Ability to analyze business problems by looking at both process and technology
- Good knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies: Azure AD, O365, SharePoint, Teams
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Experience with business analysis in an enterprise environment, including requirements gathering, UAT, software implementation, project management methodology, change management and version control
- Clear communication and presentation skills
- Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a passion for technology
