Contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Digital's Digital Business Operations Office department in Toronto, Ontario ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.


Is this role right for you?


  • Oversee the end-to-end contract process. Actively identify and provide recommendations / ideas for process improvements.
  • Project support – You will work closely with Digital Business Operations team members and partners, leading a variety of projects and providing support as needed. Includes organizing lunch & learns for Hiring Managers.
  • Supervise and manage large and complex administrative operations including obtaining approvals, consolidating, and tracking metrics. while simultaneously responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Possess leadership capabilities and behaviors, may have supervisory responsibilities coordinates the execution of assigned workstreams and projects for the team.
  • Has accountability for the performance and results of the contract and hiring process, and provides reporting and updates to management accordingly.
  • Work with Recruitment team and Hiring Managers to ensure timely updates of reports and dashboards.
  • Assist the Manager of Contract Operations as well as the Senior Manager of Business Operations with delegation and duties and step in to support as needed.
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Report any process breakthrough and issues to higher management and provide valuable strategic resolutions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
  • Take full responsibility for all inquiries, concerns, and complaints directed to him / her by resolving those matters within their discretion to the internal client's satisfaction or by referring to the appropriate source.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Relationship building/management – you will build and maintain great working relationships with Digital users, external vendors, and other stakeholders across Scotiabank.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Assist hiring managers with Scotia Digital hiring approval process, and provide management with consolidated, annotated reporting of the hiring program's progress.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Digital Business Operations Office team's objectives, goals, and key milestones.
  • Support the overall success of the team with various tasks and process contracts as needed.
  • Maintain SharePoint pages and process documents.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?


  • Ability to quickly acquire a holistic view of the organization's operations, proactively perform process analysis to identify pain points and bottlenecks and put forward improvement recommendations to streamline operations.
  • The ability to multi-task and adapt to new situations.
  • Experience improving efficiency and productivity in an office.
  • Confidence starting and taking over projects that you haven't necessarily had experience with before.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI will be considered an asset.
  • The ability to liaise with many different external and internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, and exercise diplomacy and judgement, to effectively work with end users and other stakeholders from other areas of the bank.
  • A friendly attitude with great communication skills.
  • Ability to inject a high level of energy into your work.
  • Great organizational skills and an attention to detail.
  • Experience building up office culture through relationship building and creative problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of operations management and excel.
