Our Physician Health Program (PHP) provides a range of services to doctors, residents, and medical students across the province, and supportive services to family members. PHP services align with the belief that physician health matters and that education, early intervention and treatment are important in helping to sustain a healthy medical workforce. Services to members include timely connection to treatment, resources and support, advocacy and accountability programs that assist physicians and learners in safely returning to training and practice.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Administration, you will oversee PHP operations, analytics and reporting, strategic initiatives, quality improvement and assurance activities and other related events. You are also responsible for managing, executing, and implementing Business Product Owner responsibilities in collaboration with the Technology department.
You Will Make a Difference
- Overseeing the department’s operations, analytics, and reporting, and developing and initiating quality improvement and quality assurance activities; support PHP’s events and wellness initiatives.
- Working together with PHP staff on the program’s strategic initiatives as a project manager (e.g., technology initiatives, educational product development, program, and service development etc.):
- Monitoring all project-related risks and issues, and developing options and mitigation plans
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of senior administrators supporting clinical staff in the program
- Planning and monitoring progress using required project documentation throughout the implementation and evaluation.
- Managing vendor relationships in collaboration with the Technology Department while serving as PHP’s point person to gather, assess, prioritize the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) issues, enhancements, functionality, and training gaps.
- Coordinating the initiatives and their inter-dependencies while ensuring alignment with the strategic outcomes.
Requirements That Are Important To Us
- 3+ years’ experience managing projects and complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders (Project Management experience preferred)
- Experience with quality improvement methodology and change management.
- University Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, a Health Discipline, or equivalent (combination of education and experience will be considered)
The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days per week in our Toronto.
