The Position
Cormark is seeking a Summer Intern to join our Investment Banking Team for a 4-month term (May – August 2024).
Please note this is a paid internship and requires being in office 5 days a week. Our office is located at 200 Bay Street, Toronto, ON M5J 2J2.
What do we offer Summer Interns?
The successful candidate will be provided the opportunity to take part in all aspects of developing and executing transactions, including: financial analysis, relative valuation, precedent transactions analysis, due diligence, preparation of presentation materials, preparation of offering documents, and more.
Qualifications and Experience
The Summer Intern position is geared towards students who are currently enrolled in their third year of an undergraduate degree with a focus on Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
In addition, the ideal candidate will have:
- A proven ability to learn complex concepts quickly, take on new responsibilities and demonstrate sound judgement;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills;
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail and technical skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.); and
- An excellent understanding of business, economics and finance as demonstrated through academic achievement, work experience and personal interest;
- A track-record of academic excellence.
