Technical Business Analyst (Contract)

Who We're Looking For

You will work closely with our client who is a large North American Automotive client as well as our robust tech team to identify the clients technical needs, define solutions and maximize opportunities.You will also support our technical team through various stages of the development lifecycle. Although you have the full support of your team mates, you are able to lead the research and solution of complex problems. At the same time, you know when to ask for help and don’t let silly pride or ego get in the way, because after all, you are part of a team.

“Initiative” is your middle name and you don’t give us a chance to chase you. We are on the hunt for people who have an innovative mindset (you still dream of that moonshot project, but are currently working on your side-gig)! Is this you?

A typical week will involve:

• Conducting independent and strategic research on the solutions to be developed, and the users they are being developed for
• Gathering and sharing relevant information and reports using analytics, industry/competitive research and trends.
• Documenting changes for functional and business specifications – You should be able to write a document that can be universally understood by all involved parties
• Defining and documenting the clients business functions and processes while keeping an eye out for any process improvement opportunities
• Continuous analysis of the feasibility and efficacy of the developing systems
• Liaising between our internal team and client to ensure we are interpreting the needs into functional solutions
• Writing business requirement documents to define the technical solution to a user’s problem
• Participating in test case definition and user acceptance testing

Requirements

• Understanding of front end design principles (Web, Mobile)
• Passionate about understanding complex problems and driving innovative solutions
• Expert level knowledge of SDLC
• Keen eye for detail with exceptional communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of project management and agile methodologies
• Working knowledge in the use of JIRA / Confluence
• 2-3 years in a Technical Business Analyst role or similar
• Previous experience with server-side frameworks and languages

Nice to have:

• Experience in the automotive industry
• Ability to code
