Job Summary

Bring your vision, leadership and strategic planning skills to this important role

Reporting to the Executive Director, Public Safety Transformation, the position is responsible for leading strategic partnerships and relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders; and stakeholder and partner engagement and overseeing aspects of associated policy development for the policing and public safety modernization initiative and other legislative projects that are priorities for the branch. Working in a high profile and fast-paced environment, the Director is responsible for strategic management for and support of government's advisory bodies and cross-ministry working groups. The position also leads strategic engagement with Indigenous leadership organizations and other racialized community groups as identified.

Job Requirements

• A university degree in a relevant discipline such as Public Administration, Business Administration or Social Sciences AND a minimum of 3 or more years of related experience; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Related Experience Includes

• Experience at a senior level leading major projects of large scale and complexity that have multiple project delivery components.
• Experience in leadership roles in a stakeholder management environment.
• Experience collaborating effectively with partners and stakeholders to initiate fundamental and substantive change to existing policies, programs, or legislation.
• Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with a diverse group of partners and stakeholders.
• Experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders and executives in support of corporate and/or corporate mandated goals.
