Job Summary


A high-profile leadership role for an experienced facilitator with outstanding collaborative skills


The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated land, water and natural resource management and cross-sector legislation, policy, and objective setting for land and marine environments. Building on integrated land and resource management efforts in the past, the Ministry will seek to build a new vision in collaboration with natural resource ministries and First Nations that will embrace shared decision making on the land base.


The Director, NRS Organizational Effectiveness (OE) supports the effective functioning of sector's governance bodies and committee operations including the Deputy Minister's Committee Natural Resource Sector (DMCNR), Assistant Deputy Minister's Committee Natural Resource Sector (ADMCNR), Deputy Minister's Solutions Project Board (SPB), the Deputy Minister's Working Group on Organizational Effectiveness (DMWGOE). The Director develops and implements the administrative lifecycle for each committee including agenda development, intake process, meeting administration and other deliverables.


Job Requirements


  • Degree in Business, Public Administration or related field
  • 2 or more years experience advising ministry executive and management on issues, trends and best practices in change management, business improvement or organizational effectiveness.
  • 2 or more years experience developing, explaining, and presenting high level briefings on priority issues, business processes, or strategic plans; both verbally and in writing; in a clear and concise style that is appropriate to the audience.
  • 2 or more years experience leading or supporting the design and implementation of large-scale change or business transformation, improvement or organizational effectiveness projects.
  • 2 or more years experience managing sensitive, confidential and/or high profile issues working directly with Ministry executive.
  • 2 or more years experience building and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships and effectively liaise with senior executive internal and external partners.


Preference May Be Given For Candidates With The Following


  • Experience with previous committee administration.
  • More years experience.
