Temporary, full-time

Location: Vancouver, B.C.

Salary: $102,900.00 to $136,7000.11 annually

Note: This posting is for one temporary full-time opportunity for an anticipated period of 9 months. This temporary opportunity may be extended. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Staff Lawyer supports the Commissioner's legal team on legal matters that arise during the exercise of the powers and duties set out in the Human Rights Code. This includes conducting legal research and analysis, helping to prepare legal opinions, and supporting the provision of legal advice and services, particularly related to the Commissioner's intervenor, test case, and inquiry functions under sections 47.12(1)(j), 47.12(2) and 47.15 of the Code.
