Position Job Title: Associate Director, Digital Marketing
Location: British Columbia (preference for Vancouver)
Reports To: VP, Marketing and Communications
Primary Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing strategic digital marketing initiatives to support University’s recruitment goals and drive brand awareness.
You will lead a team of digital marketing professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns across various channels.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, data-driven, and possesses excellent leadership and communication skills.

Specific Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and maximizing return on investment
- Collaborate with the data analytics team to gather insights, conduct customer segmentation, and develop targeted marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with the web development and SEO teams to optimize website performance, user experience, and conversion rates
- Stay informed about competitors' digital marketing activities and industry trends and changes to identify potential threats and opportunities
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for optimization and improvement
- Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team and other University departments to align digital marketing initiatives with overall University goals and objectives
- Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns, including setting objectives, defining target audiences, creating compelling content, and determining appropriate channels and tactics
- Perform other duties as assigned by the VP, Marketing & Communications
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to digital marketing activities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital marketing, and provide strategic recommendations to leverage new opportunities and tools
- Lead a team of digital marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Work closely with VP, Marketing and Communications to develop and execute the overall digital marketing strategy, including digital advertising, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), content marketing, and other relevant channels
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies that have delivered measurable results
- Strong knowledge of various digital marketing channels, including PPC, paid social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, content marketing, affiliate channels, and analytics tools
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights
- Proficient in using digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, social media management tools, marketing automation platforms, and content management systems
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Updated with the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices
- Proven experience (5+ years) in digital marketing, with focus on strategy development, campaign management, and team leadership
- Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex concepts and strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
