Job Description

In this role, you will report to the VP of Marketing & Communications to manage advertising and marketing projects across a variety of digital channels.


You will use feedback from the LKA Marketing Team, Corporate Directors, Franchise Partners, and Strategic Brand Partners to develop and execute a social media content plan that helps share the gift of Little Kitchen Academy through engaging and inspiring content across multiple social platforms. You will discover ways to accelerate sharing the gift of LKA with more people globally to create a more educated, independent, and healthy society including building out and testing new automated email lead nurture campaigns and managing our preferred digital advertising agency partner.You will analyze results and provide reporting to leadership on the performance of digital advertising, social and email campaigns.Additionally, you will help with other digital projects as needed including ongoing SEO.


How You Will Make An Impact

  • Undertake social listening, monitoring of similar brands, analytics reporting, and optimization to continually improve social content
  • Support Franchise Partners by sharing new email, social media content and digital ads
  • Ensure organizational messaging is optimized for all digital channels and aligned with our brand guidelines
  • Assist in the production and editing of written, video, and photo social and email content
  • Other duties as required
  • Take part in training new Franchisee Partners on digital marketing best practices and guidelines
  • Collaborate with Strategic Brand Partners to expand and improve our digital engagement presence/activity
  • Work with the Marketing Team to develop and collaborate on strategic storytelling-based and results-driven content through digital channels
  • Help develop powerful and engaging social media experiences and engagement opportunities for our LKA Families while growing our digital presence and extending the reach and impact of LKA
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team on the social media calendar
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Leadership Team communicating digital engagement activity and growth
  • Lead the development of a social media content strategy, striking a balance between various types of content
  • Respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments
  • Coordinate and manage all organizational social media channels


Who You Are

  • Proven ability to work across and adapt content for all mainstream social media channels., including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube)
  • Experience in Education, Franchising, or Child Enrichment is an asset
  • Excellent writing skills and an ability to write for, and make content accessible to all levels of users
  • Data-driven with a passion for digital performance marketing
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
  • Flexibility, high-energy level, drive for results attitude
  • A degree in marketing, communications, or a related degree, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in digital marketing
  • Strong ability to identify and take action to help where required, and to organize and prioritize tasks in a way that is most helpful to the larger goals of the organization
  • Experience with social media platforms (like Later or Hootsuite), email service providers (like iPost or Constant Contact) and creative tools (like Canva or Adobe Suite)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), WordPress, content management systems, Google Analytics, reporting tools and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated dependability, reliability, flexibility, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of an energetic and creative team


Where/when You’ll Work

  • You will be expected to work non-traditional hours (weekends, evenings, etc.) as needed
  • 40h per week
  • 3 days/week in Point Grey office (The Nest) and 2 days/week remote


Salary Range is CAD $65-85k depending on experience including competitive benefits package.
