If so, you may be a great fit to join the Powered by Search team in Toronto (or remotely if you have experience!) as our Project Manager!


Before You Say Yes, Ask Yourself


  • Do you have zero tolerance for lapses in established processes and procedures?
  • Can you accurately scope out the required resources and pricing of a media or design project?
  • Can you separate what needs to be done from what can be done by focusing on the 20% of activities that generate 80% of the results?
  • Are you decisive and assertive when it comes to managing your team’s deliverables?
  • Do you diligently plan for potential risks?


You’ll know you are right for this amazing opportunity if you have:
  • 5-10 years of Project Management experience, ideally in an media agency, advertising agency, or web development environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Traction EOS, and the Rockefeller Habits is an asset.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing Digital Marketing or Web Development projects.
  • Demonstrated success working within high-growth startups or organizations that are hitting their growth phase.
  • Experience with Teamwork Projects, Function Point, Basecamp, or Jira.
  • Experience managing and delivering multiple projects at any given time within scope, timeline, and quality expectations.

Some competencies you’ll need to have:
  • Digital Marketing Fundamentals: You can explain the basics of SEO, SEM, Paid Social, Marketing Automation, and UX/CRO.
  • Project Management: You are able to effortlessly manage the most complex of projects with strict and careful management of time, resources, and quality. You coach others on how to effectively manage projects, prioritize time, and focus on the 80/20.
  • Communication: You communicate your thoughts with ease, clarity, and empathy in written and verbal forms. You consistently practice upward reporting. You ensure steady rhythm and seamless communication among the team by managing regular stand-up meetings.
  • Critical Thinking: Your actions are proactive. You are able to visualize success and deliberately work towards the end goal by following high impact strategies.


Results You’ll Be Expected To Drive


Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be accountable and responsible for the delivery and quality of work from our team of Digital Marketing Specialists. In your role you will not be directly responsible for managing client relationships but you may be required to be client facing from time to time.


  • Client deliverables are organized into 1-2 week sprints.
  • Late tasks never exceed more than 2% of all active tasks.
  • Hold Specialists accountable for task completion and high-quality work.
  • Drive a 30% profit margin and Direct LER to 3.0 and above through effective allocation of Specialists.
