Marks is hiring a Digital Project Manager for our Marks Toronto studio!

Position Overview

The Digital Project Manager supports Marcom’s Digital team on a variety of client projects, working directly with digital designers and developers, and collaborating with the Accounts team, other PMs, and Operations. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope; properly scheduling projects/tasks within studio and among different departments; overseeing all aspects of projects, including managing deadlines and reviewing work to ensure quality standards are maintained and client requests are delivered, and monitoring progress and status of any assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • May provide training and guidance to teammates unfamiliar with digital best practices
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Work with the Scheduler to ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation (can be shared with other internal employees)
  • Develop a detailed project plan/tracker to monitor and track progress
  • Participate in process improvement efforts with the client and with the internal studio
  • Maintain positive relationships with the client and relevant stakeholders
  • Comfortable leading client/internal meetings, when necessary
  • Keep abreast of all developments in digital marketing trends
  • Ensure that all assigned tasks and/or projects are delivered on time, flagging any out-of-scope or out-of-budget requests
  • Develop a thorough understanding of internal team operations and processes
  • Proven ability to consistently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Monitor project progress, handle issues and escalations that arise, document and follow up on critical actions, decisions, and risks
  • Be on top of changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs (working with the Account Manager to ensure all costs are captured)

Project-Specific Responsibilities

  • As required, work within our project management tool to write up work orders and create project tasks for the studio
  • Write up revisions/feedback once consolidated by the account team and/or client.
  • Provide the final rounds of QA on all assets – checking all design files to ensure work has been executed to the client brief prior to releasing for final delivery.
  • Provide valuable insight into the project process and next steps.
  • Attend and participate in post-mortem meetings to review and provide insight on completed projects.
  • Assign tasks and deadlines to various digital studio resources.
  • Procure all assets (specs, assets, reference materials) needed for the studio and provide flexible solutions to potential production roadblocks.
  • Act as a liaison between the digital studio team, external partners, and the account team to obtain missing information and materials.
  • Develop detailed design plans by partnering with the digital studio team, monitor progress, and write reports.
  • Analyze project requirements and prepare budgets and schedules.
  • Facilitate/lead accurate and clear briefing to the digital studio team in a timely fashion in partnership with the Account Manager.

Digital Projects Include

  • HTML Banners (static and animated)
  • Social media content (static and animated videos)
  • Websites (including development, updating established sites, and producing microsites)

Prerequisites

  • 2+ years of proven experience in project management with a focus on digital design, web or software development
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and deadline-driven
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), basic knowledge of Creative Suite with primary focus on Photoshop, and experience in various project management tools. A bonus would be experience with Figma or Adobe XD.
