The Role:

We are seeking an Analyst, Finance and Accounting to join our Finance team in downtown Montreal. Under the responsibility of the Director of Finance, the Analyst, Finance and Accounting will contribute to the management of financial accounts, in line with the organization's objectives, through financial reporting as well as financial analysis. You will participate in the financial performance and the revision of budget processes, the preparation of the financial statements of the company as well as the revision of accounting cycles.

As our company is continually expanding, you will leverage your experience in financial analysis and reporting to assist with monthly operations and our projects. You will be responsible for providing reliable and accurate financial information to assist the Director of Finance and SVP, Finance in making strategic decisions for our business.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly and annual financial analyzes as well as monitor budget;
• Develop several reporting tools, such as dashboards, using data and analytical tools;
• Creation of reports and analyzes to assist the leadership team in making decisions;
• Monitoring of ongoing results, detection and analysis of variances in budgets and forecasts;
• Analyze and write various notes on the accounting positions;
• Actively participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process and prepare the individual and consolidated financial statements that relate to this process and conduct in-depth analysis of monthly results;
• Participate in the continuous improvement process of the company's accounting information system
• Review cost, payments, revenue booked and other tasks performed by the accounting team;
• Collaborate with the Finance department and the leadership team to produce budgets and forecasts;
• Identify opportunities to improve business procedures and decisions using analytical data;

Qualifications:

• Know how to be versatile while respecting deadlines.
• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Strong aptitude for teamwork.
• Experience in US GAAP accounting standards (an advantage)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Ability to solve problems with attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively summarize complex information.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting practice experience.
• Hold a professional accounting designation (CPA) or in process of obtaining.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft and Google suite (World, Excel, PowerPoint).
