Job Description
Accounting Clerk in Beamsville
Do you have experience with day-to-day accounting activities? Are you someone who has a passion for overseeing the full cycle of the AP and AR, and are willing to assist in a variety of ways to help a team? Would you like to work within a fun, team-working environment? If so, this is the opportunity for you!
We are currently recruiting for a temporary-to-hire Accounting Clerk within the Beamsville area. This fully in-office, full-time temporary to permanent hire will involve AP, AR, Journal Entries, bank reconciliations, as well as other accounting duties.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience within day-to-day accounting activities, is highly organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills and is experienced with various software – Business Vision Sage is preferred - as well as intermediate Excel skills.

Responsibilities
  • Special projects as required
  • Post journal entries and maintain general ledgers
  • Full cycle AP & AR
  • Heavy focus on reconciling purchase orders to invoices
  • Review and calculate time sheets
  • Other duties as required
  • Record credit card transactions and perform reconciliations
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of full-cycle accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Organized and the ability to learn quickly
  • Good command of English, spoken and written is essential
  • Proficiency with Business Vision (Sage)
  • Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable
  • Excellent time management and established procedures for tracking time-sensitive tasks
  • Intermediate to Advance competency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
