Job Description
Major Functions And Responsibilities
  • Schedules appointments based a complex set of criteria such as length of testing, time of day, type of test ordered.
  • Provides support to Client Services by manages a large volume of calls though the patient appointment line
  • Provides general information to patients
Required Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client service and public relations.
  • Flexibility to meet operational requirements including hours of work and location.
  • Good judgement/decision making ability in order to handle calls appropriately without direct supervision.
  • Ability to handle a large amount of work efficiently and effectively, given exposure to continual interruptions.
  • Presents a pleasant, professional manner at all times.
  • Strong team player with the ability to perform duties independently and professionally.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience is required.
  • Experience in a call-center environment is required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Related post-secondary education (E.g. Medical Office Assistant, Unit Clerk)
  • Proficient in data entry
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and LIS
