Career Colleges Ontario (CCO) is a not-for-profit association that was established in 1973 to advocate on behalf of career colleges in the province of Ontario. The association’s purpose is to help governments, key decision-makers and the public understand the critical role its members and their students play in supporting Ontario’s post-secondary education system and improving the province’s social and economic well-being. CCO’s members contribute to Ontario’s economy by providing highly qualified graduates in hundreds of essential, skilled fields such as Applied Arts, Business, Healthcare, Human Services, Information Technology, Services, and Trades.

The successful candidate will assist with:
Administrative Assistant related:
- Assist in handling booking and travel requirements.
- Planning input and logistic assistance for conferences and events
- Address student transcript requests
- Initial draft of materials (policy positions and reports)
- Help to coordinate office professional development opportunities for office staff and Association members
- Committee meeting scheduling
- Minute taking for Association Committee meetings
- Assist with processing of Accounts Receivable
- Distribute OSAP applications to the Financial Aid team
- Scheduling of meeting and calendar coordination
Communications related assistance (when needed):
- Drafting of membership messages (with communications department and CEO)
- CEO correspondence (if needed)
- Association blog and newsletter assistance
Preferred skills:
- Strong communication, listening, and executing skills – both verbal and written
- Flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of Zoho or other CRM suites
- Highly organized, ability to prioritize, work under pressure and meet timelines
- Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat (PDF documents and secure PDF)
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities and approaches
- Proficient in online meeting scheduling (Teams and Zoom)
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
Salary Expectations:
- Commensurate with experience
Location: Hybrid (Toronto and Brantford)
- Successful candidate may need to be available at the head office (Brantford, ON) or for meetings (Toronto, ON) on occasion.
NOTE: High-speed internet and reliability is necessary for this role
