Job Description

We are a senior move management, downsizing and estate services company and have an opening as a Job Assistant with the possibility of growing into a Project Manager role once fully trained (if interested in progressing).


This is a part time to almost full-time, casual position. You must have Monday to Friday availability. Although there is no guarantee of hours, most project assistants work at least 25 hours per week when trained. We generally work during day time hours only and although the times vary, most of the time we work between 9:30 and 4:30. We expect your availability to be between 8:30 am and 5 pm when required.


You must be physically fit, and be able to do tasks associated with downsizing, packing and unpacking boxes, cleaning and organizing. An eye for detail, and home design is very helpful. Some people find this position to be very physically demanding, especially as you are getting used to the job. You must be able to provide a clean criminal record search and be bondable.


You must have transportation, as we work all over Greater Victoria, in our clients homes.


Job duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Estate dispersals (sorting/packing/ organizing entire households)
  • Interacting with our clients
  • Cleaning, staging and decluttering homes prior to them being listed for sale
  • Maintaining a safe and positive work environment (you will work as part of a team)
  • Working under the direction of a Project Manager
  • Occassionally picking up supplies, keys, returning Shaw equipment, etc
  • Preparing lots for auctions
  • Helping with auction pick up days
  • Setting up their new home in a similar manner to how it was previously
  • Packing and Unpacking boxes during a move
  • Sorting, organizing documents

* Note that we do household cleaning as part of most of our jobs (in preparation for sale or after the house has sold). If you are not prepared to do a job that involves cleaning several days a week, you should not apply.
