Detailed Overview


Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:


Leads the planning, implementation and transition of virtual health initiatives. Develops, plans, manages and implements assigned virtual health initiatives on behalf of the client; ensures alignment with provincial mandates and supports integration across programs and services. Utilizes proven methodologies, systems thinking and innovative solutions to transform health care delivery through the use of virtual health technology and new care practices.


Responsibilities


  • Informs specialized analysis of operational problems and recommends innovative solutions by assisting with critical evaluation, conflict reconciliation, political context and health systems analysis and helping to distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs while challenging assumptions.
  • Gains extensive knowledge in the area of virtual health through research and analysis to support selection, implementation and scaling of virtual health technologies and virtual care methods.
  • Facilitates consensus with stakeholders as required and manages project resources including preparing and monitoring project budgets and expenditures; identifies, negotiates and/or resolves issues encountered to ensure the new or redesigned clinical programs are ready for implementation.
  • Collaborates with key internal and external partners, including Health Informatics and Information Technology (HIIT) Privacy, Supply Chain, potential vendors and vendors that have contracts with Fraser Health.
  • Provides leadership and acts as a resource to assigned interdisciplinary project teams by identifying, establishing and managing the team structure, complement and membership required for assigned initiative. Ensures project timelines are met; conveys policies and priorities and ensures issues are resolved or escalated to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinates and supports stakeholder engagement in project planning and implementation.
  • Functions as a strategic resource to ensure an optimal structure, design and implementation of new virtual health projects to achieve desired outcomes and benefits while ensuring alignment with operational requirements and/or provincial mandates.
  • Acts as the primary resource and liaison to program clients and corporate partners and is accountable for all project deliverables for assigned projects and/or project regions.
  • Links and networks with other publicly funded health organizations, professional associations and the technology community to keep abreast of relevant changes and innovations.
  • Participates in, and co-leads, research and evaluation activities for the refinement of tools, methods and helps set organizational standards for virtual health initiative implementation.
  • Incorporates current project management, change management, agile practices, or design-thinking methodologies.
  • Negotiates and resolves barriers to progress and success on behalf of the client arising from project/change management initiatives. Provides coaching to leaders and staff on change principles to resolve problems or develop opportunities.


Qualifications


Education and Experience


Master's degree in health/business administration or a related discipline supplemented with project and change management courses.


Five (5) years' recent, related experience supplemented in an environment focused on delivering virtual health or innovation initiatives using project and change management methods in a large complex, multi-stakeholder environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.

Salary range


The salary range for this position is CAD $41.35/Hr. - $59.43/Hr. / hour
