We are looking for driven, high-energy professionals with strong business acumen, solid technical skills, and natural sales instincts to join our SMB sales team as a Business Development Representative. Your contribution


  • Achieve monthly quotas: potential customers and marketing campaigns
  • Make a great first impression on current and potential customers through your ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Route qualified sales opportunities to the appropriate account manager’s sales funnel for further development and closure
  • Contact customers and prospects to generate your own leads as well as generating leads for the sales team
  • Source new sales opportunities through insights, follow-up, transfer of specific information, and cold calls and emails
  • Maintain active engagement with potential customers through creative follow-up communications designed to further increase customer interest in TELUS Health solutions
  • Research accounts and identify key players to increase the quality of potential leads in the CRM database and generate interest
  • Manage solution presentations and demos for customers
  • Follow up with customers and prospects on certain marketing campaigns
  • Respond to requests from potential leads from different sources (web, phone, chat) regarding TELUS Health solutions, and confirm that they meet our criteria
  • Take responsibility for developing your skills and maintaining collaborative strategies, initiatives and tactics between the various stakeholders (account managers, Marketing and Marketing Communications teams)
  • Create and monitor the progress of sales opportunities arising from marketing campaigns, using a variety of different techniques including cold calls, emails, social media, and more.
  • Use a variety of internal and external resources (Hoover's, business journals, Gartner, LinkedIn, etc.) to compile useful information about potential leads


Qualifications


Minimum requirements


  • Perfect bilingualism
  • 1-2 years of corporate experience
  • Experience with B2B customers


Preferred Requirements


  • Self-starter, high energy and positive attitude
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicting priorities
  • Minimum 1 year experience with Customer Relationship Management systems like salesforce.com
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, pace yourself and deal with urgent situations
  • Digital native, active on social media, solid business acumen
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with major in business administration, digital marketing, statistics, trend analysis, economics, or related field
  • Focus on sales of technology solutions
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel or Google Suite is required
  • Strong experience in the SMB market, as there will be constant business interactions requiring the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills (English and French mandatory)
  • Ability to provide inside sales support; familiar with the SaaS industry
  • Experience being evaluated according to key performance indicators
