Position Overview:

The TELUS Health team is looking for a driven, passionate individual with strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Our team, the Health Benefits Management (HMB), has the objective to support insurers’ and employers’ activities to effectively engage plan members in the workforce to make benefits accessible and sustainable.

As a Business Analyst II, you will report specifically to the Flexit360 team. Flexit360 is a one-stop online business solution for employee benefits plan management hosted by TELUS Health. It is a comprehensive benefits management system that supports information transfer with enrollment, automated payroll, human resource information systems (HRIS), and carrier and insurance needs. Flexit360 supports over 150 operating flexible plan designs, including core plus option plans, modular plans, and traditional plans with optional benefits.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements
• Take vague outline/concepts to produce tangible plans or systems that can be put into place
• Actively participate in project team meeting and lead when necessary
• Consider and recommend continuous improvement opportunities to increase program and process efficiencies
• Responsible for in depth analysis and definition of client business needs and the design, development and delivery (including documentation, testing, communication) on medium to very complex business problems
• Participate and lead regular client support meetings
• Act as a subject matter expert on the Flexit360 solution, to work cross functionally across teams
• Support the build of test scripts and collaboratively work with testing teams to ensure stable and reliable releases

Qualifications

Required Knowledge:

• Knowledge and skills with SQL is preferred
• Proven ability to collect requirements and document business processes and client requirements
• Knowledge of Group Benefits Administration
• Experience analyzing and reporting on data
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years in comparable role
• University degree in Health Science, Computer Science or Business/Commerce
