Responsibilities
What you'll do Responsibilities
Reporting to the Campus Principal, you will:
- Provide administrative leadership for the Ivany Campus Principal's Office and be a member of the Campus and Communities (C&C) administrative office leads' team.
- Actively support the C&C portfolio by proactively engaging and collaborating with the Executive Assistant to the VP, C&C and the campus-based administrative office leads at the other NSCC campuses.
- Demonstrate independence and initiative in anticipating needs, while balancing multiple and competing priorities.
- Play a leadership and collaborative role with Ivany Campus Administrative Assistants to improve campus communications, maximize technology and build consistency of practice across departments.
- Ensure the daily activities of the Principal are organized and supported efficiently. This involves constant communication with the Principal and Management Team to ensure the Principal is well-informed of urgent requests, strategic initiatives, campus events and celebrations.
- Provide confidential administrative support on all Human Resources matters for the Principal; and track and maintain the Principal's project files.
- Coordinate key college and campus priority projects through the implementation of project management strategies and practices in an effort of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and organize campus-based initiatives and campus management operations; as well as the day-to-day administration of the Principal's office.
What you'll need Qualifications
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- Excellent computer skills with a high level of proficiency in the Microsoft suite and Outlook.
- You have a minimum of three (3) years (full-time equivalent) of progressive experience at senior administrative levels in a fast-paced office environment.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary education in business or office administration.
- Experience using workplace solution applications in the work environment (i.e., Peoplesoft, Cognos, etc.).
- Expertise in leveraging technology to steward administrative tasks and projects with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, Planner and Forms.
- Experience with the coordination and stewardship of projects and teams, specifically with organization, tracking and quality assurance.
- You are highly motivated and flexible and possess a confident and reliable persona.
- Ability to establish and maintain accurate up-to-date records in a digitized environment.
- As a creative self-starter, you have been recognized for your strong work ethic and your commitment to excellence.
- Ability to manage multiple agendas, work independently and assume accountability.
- You have acquired strong business acumen along with exceptional client service skills.
- Attention to detail is vital as you will be working with budgets, reports and presentations, etc.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to interpret policies and procedures accurately.
- Your superb team working skills enable you to contribute positively to a team environment.
- Skilled at dealing with ambiguity and complexity and can effectively cope with change.
- Ability to conduct research, analysis and measurement of data for assessments and progress reports.
