Blackbird Security Inc. is looking to hire aRegional Managerfor theGreater Vancouver Area, BC(Port Coquitlam, Surrey, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and surrounding cities)
Role Summary
As the Regional manager, you will be responsible for fully and directly supporting the Director of Operations in his role as it pertains to the cost-effective management of all operational facets associated with your region in terms of operational accountability.
The successful candidate will possess very strong organizational and time-management skills, have excellent customer service, and understand the importance of the bottom line. To succeed in this role, the individual must have experience with account management, employee management, and security - bonus points if you’re familiar with the Retail Security Industry. We’re all young professionals and are looking for an energetic, motivated, forward-thinking, and driven Regional Manager who will be very involved in our business development.
Job Duties:
- Support the ownership of this company with potential business development opportunities when they arise.
- Professionally resolve complex client problems or disputes.
- Regularly meet designated client representatives for status updates and, address any concerns promptly and proactively identify problems and find resolutions.
- Participate and lead the selection, development, management, and leadership of your supervisory team of district managers and field supervisors.
- Oversee proper field training and orientation for all employees in your region.
- Ensure clients receive requested services promptly.
- Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.
- Identify opportunities for business growth with existing clients.
- Oversee disciplinary actions of your staff as necessary, with input from HR and your direct reports.
- Manage and address staff issues as they arise, with support and direction from the HR team.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with our clients.
- Supporting the Director of Operations with the design and maintenance of post orders for each site, whether this is physically done by Supervisors or by you.
- Support the Talent Acquisition in the recruiting, interviewing, and growth of staff and development of teams in your region
- Act as the main point of contact for your region's client concerns and needs.
- Schedule and assign staff to sites to ensure that there are no missed shifts and no overtime. This includes filling open shifts when they occur, or short notice guard requests.
- Participate in projects, investigations, and special assignments as required by the leadership team.
- Report required regional metrics and KPIs regularly.
- Be accountable for the maintenance of professional communication at all times between team members.
- Support the Director of Operations in his role to manage operational spending and ensure cost-effective operational efficiencies.
Job Qualifications:
- Management experience is a must!
- Willingness to use your vehicle for work-related purposes and travel (gas and parking will be reimbursed)
- Retail security experience is required
- Prior experience with Tracktik is an asset
- Superior organizational and time-management skills
- Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking skills
- 5+ years combined experience working in account management, sales, and security.
- Proven experience in a leadership role is required
- Knowledge of Security Field Operations and Retail Loss Prevention.
- Should possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgment calls
- Should possess a valid Security Workers License and Driving License
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of clients
