About the role:

As Vice President of Transport Operations, you'll steer our trucking operations, ensuring safe and on-time delivery of goods with cost efficiency and environmental awareness. You'll drive growth, profitability, and provide essential leadership support to drivers, dispatchers, and support staff.

What you'll do here:

• Develop & manage KPIs (i.e. on-time performance, margins, safety, etc.)
• Enforce compliance to (and establish where needed) SOPs in areas like driver routing/dispatch, fuel and materials usage, capacity planning, safety, and employee relations
• Oversee the implementation of new business from an operational standpoint
• Utilize data, analysis, and reporting of transportation metrics to drive continual process improvement and cost reduction
• Utilize IT platforms that support the business (TMW, ISAAC, Dayforce, TruckRight)
• Exceed operational standards for safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, customer satisfaction, financial and various other KPI’s
• Manage the division's assets ensuring that transportation resource levels are right-sized, effectively utilized, and properly maintained
• Foster a culture of Operational Excellence focused on safety and quality through training, mentorship, and on-road observations
• Ensure compliance with state and federal DOT regulations

What You Bring To The Table

• Proficient in financial planning, P&L analysis, and margin improvement
• Bachelor’s degree
• Highly effective communicator with excellent customer service skills
• 5-7 years’ experience in Senior Operations Management – Asset Based Transportation
• Strong expertise in transportation software (TMW, ISAAC, etc.) and MS Office
• Strong aptitude for utilizing transportation software and MS Office for effective operations management
• Skilled in motivating, training, and leading teams to peak performance
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial planning and analysis to enhance operational efficiency
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams for optimal performance
