Job Description

The VP Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing our food processing operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with in-depth knowledge of food processing systems, supply chain management and operational excellence. He/she plays a key role in improving the efficiency, quality and innovation of our production processes, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and focusing on safety.


Responsibilities


  • Lead, mentor, and manage a cross-functional team including production, quality control, supply chain, procurement, and logistics.
  • Manage and enhance the end-to-end supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to customers.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and market demands.
  • Implement expansion strategies and new technologies to increase production capacity while maintaining quality.
  • Streamline production processes, reducing waste and increasing throughput without compromising product quality and safety.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and innovation, driving initiatives to enhance operations and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications


  • Proficiency in data analysis and utilization of KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of food processing operations, quality control standards, and supply chain management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with scaling operations, introducing new technologies, and managing expansion projects.
  • Proven track record of at least 10 years in operations leadership roles within the food processing or related industry, with a history of driving operational excellence and growth.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
  • Experience with implementing lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
