- Manage and negotiate freight rates and service contracts with customers.
- Lead, motivate and coach a small team of sales representatives, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to excel.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the Eastern Canada region.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
- Accurately forecast and report sales metrics to senior management, providing insight into the market and competitors.
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership role, managing and coaching a sales team.
- At least 5 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of the Eastern Canada market and existing relationships within the industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing business strategies.
- Fluency in English and French is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
