ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, EASTERN CANADA

Location: Toronto

Jack Victor branded products are available online at www.jackvictor.com and at over 400 multi-brand retailers. Major wholesale partners include Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Holt Renfrew and many better independent men’s specialty stores. Jack Victor high quality tailored clothing is produced by its 850 employees at the company’s state-of-the-art downtown Montreal manufacturing facilities. The company operates major showrooms in Montreal, New York and Toronto. The company is also the exclusive supplier of TED BAKER-branded men’s tailored clothing to the North American market. The company as well offers a separate, more casual collection of men’s premium sportswear under the ROBERT BARAKETT brand, distributed online at www.robertbarakett.com and at over 130 better retailers, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Simons.

JOB DETAILS

We are seeking an experienced menswear sales professional to join our team and sell our various collections in Eastern and Northern Ontario. Working from our Toronto showroom, the successful candidate will also be involved in the servicing of major department store accounts and will assist with other sales-related assignments in all parts of Canada. Reporting to Jack Victor’s National Sales Director, the successful candidate will also work collaboratively with our resident Toronto-based Regional Sales Director, Western Ontario to manage all aspects of the Toronto showroom.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

●Work closely with Jack Victor’s National Sales Director to set sales targets for seasonal booking orders and in-season stock service and custom order sales

●Build long term relationships with the owners, store managers and floor selling staff of Jack Victor’s independent specialty store customers in Eastern and Northern Ontario (the “Territory”) and other parts of Eastern Canada as needed. Support and advise these business partners to help them succeed with and advance our commercial relationship

●Develop a strong knowledge of all company product lines (fits/fabrics/colors/patterns) to be able to professionally present and sell seasonal collections and stock service products; participate in seasonal North American sales meetings either by Zoom or in person

●Set seasonal appointments in either company showrooms or in-store to sell the collections to each independent account in the Territory; enter orders in our ERP system; distribute swatch requests to retailers

●Demonstrate a strong understanding of our brands’ distribution strategy to ensure that current and potential partners are aligned with our brands’ positioning; conduct a review of our partners’ brand adjacencies and store merchandising to provide guidance to Jack Victor management on branding/distribution decisions

●Conduct regular specialty store visits to deliver engaging product training and review/approve how our products are visually merchandised; monitor key partners’ retail sales in our brands’ products on a regular basis to provide feedback and action plans when needed

●Stay abreast of business conditions and opportunities in all the menswear stores in the territory, soliciting new accounts and new business with existing accounts whenever possible. Understand the competitive landscape and market trends in the territory to provide feedback to Jack Victor’s product merchandisers and executive team

●Co-manage the operations of the Toronto showroom, including checking in and out all selling samples and keeping an updated sample log; organize swatches and samples before and after appointments; assist with and maintain strong visual merchandising product displays in the showroom

●Conduct store visits and Product Knowledge seminars on a seasonal basis with all Canadian major accounts such as Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, Simons and the Bay; assist the floor selling teams with consumer selling in busy times; possible occasional travel to Western Canada to carry out these duties; help coordinate store events and showroom events as needed

●Communicate closely with other company departments such as production, customer service, shipping, accounts receivable and sales colleagues to provide timely and quality customer service


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in sales or account management within the menswear industry; wholesale experience a plus

Strong understanding of the Eastern Canadian menswear market, including key retailers, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for sales and achieving targets.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using ERP software and MS Office applications.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Territory, and elsewhere in Canada as needed.
