POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent leads all on-going strategies, activities and processes related to finance and treasury for Kruger Inc. to ensure alignment with business strategy. The incumbent works in close collaboration with the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, as well as the divisional Chief Financial Officers and group controllers in the context of acquisitions and divestitures by providing the required financial analyses and recommendations. The incumbent is also responsible for overseeing the overall strategy for insurance, risk management and FP&A.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and funds available for investment.
• Manage credit facilities and lender relations.
• Oversee Kruger activities in the debt capital markets and manage on-going issues.
• Ensure that Kruger has the necessary credit facilities to meet current and future requirements.
• Manage the cash position and short-term funding position on a consolidated corporate and entity by entity basis (restricted group).
• Assess markets and make recommendations on potential moves in foreign exchanges and interest rates, and their impact/risks on the organization.
• Act as the initial review of potential acquisitions/divestitures or investment that are considered - provide the required analysis and recommendations.
• Support decision-making at the executive level related to funding of acquisitions and financial risk management.
• Lead or manage the financial analysis and recommendation processes as activities evolve.
• Produce the financial information required to comply with business and regulatory requirements for banks, governments, etc. (as it relates to loans, investments).
QUALIFICATIONS
• CPA, CFA designation
EXPERIENCE- KNOWLEDGE
• Professional level of knowledge in the field of accounting/CFA.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with banking sectors, especially in debt and equity areas.
• Strong knowledge of operations and all areas of business.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Company’s strategic direction to align analyses and recommendations accordingly.
• Knowledge of diverse activity sectors in order to effectively analyze initiatives involving activities not currently part of Kruger’s operations.
LANGUAGES
• Good verbal and written communication skills, both in English and French a must.
