Vendor Risk Analyst (Procurement Data) – Remote role

We are currently looking for a Vendor Risk Analyst (Procurement Data) for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

• Hourly salary of $45 to $75 depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Gather information necessary to complete periodic Privacy and Compliance reports and self-assessments on behalf of Procurement.
• Coordinate supplier audits for instances of underpayment to Manulife.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk Areas, business stakeholders and other groups as necessary to meet Manulife’s objectives.
• Respond to periodic regulatory request requiring the gathering, analysis, and interpretation of large amounts of data from multiple data sources and compiling into a cohesive, understandable format.
• Provide quality oversight to datasets required to calculate complex KRIs.
• Assist in the management, organization and communication related to documents posted to the internal Procurement website, ensuring the correct documents (i.e., Procurement Policies, Standards, Guidelines, etc.) are published and up to date.
• Manage internal and external audit requests for which Procurement is responsible, including compiling documentary evidence and drafting formal responses.
• Work independently and diligently to meet tight reporting timelines.
• Collaborate with ongoing data improvement initiatives to continuously improve the reporting process.
• Gather industry benchmarking information relating to Procurement Governance projects.
• Work with the Director to prepare Enterprise Vendor Risk Management Committee reports, providing updates on initiatives, audits, and compliance activity as applicable.

What you will need to succeed:

• Industry recognized Procurement Certification(s) a plus.
• Experience in roles within large, multi-national corporations.
• Understand structured data: an expert in available data sources, what they mean and how they can/should be interpreted for analysis.
• Tactical support of data validation, consolidation, and cleansing processes.
• Experience in Procurement and/or Vendor Governance including implementation of vendor management policies and processes.
• Demonstrates agility and possesses the capability to thrive in a dynamic, high-speed setting characterized by evolving priorities and conflicting deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or Finance.
• Experience in Procurement, Risk, and/or Finance.
• Experience with Vendor Risk Management, Governance, and Operational Risk Management.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate information/data from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and make data-driven strategic recommendations.
• Understanding of complex/matrix organization.
• Ability to foster and build relationships, engage, and influence others, work with diverse subject matter experts.
• Experience with Data Analytics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels including senior management.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products including MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio.
• Flexible and adaptable when dealing with change, with a strong awareness and understanding of cultural diversity.
• Get-it-done attitude with an ability to effectively follow-through and anticipate next steps with all ongoing initiatives.
• 3+ years demonstrated success in a progressive number of Procurement or Risk roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas of moderate difficulty, pivot tables, and data manipulation.
• Expertise in working within a global organization.
