Business Enablement - Data Analyst

Working in conjunction with a small team, the Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of business performance reports in Microsoft Power BI as well as migration of Spotfire reports to Power BI.

The key accountabilities of this position include:

• Collaborating with different groups to extract, clean and transform data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
• Supporting development and execution of strategic analytics & reporting initiatives.
• Lead and participate in stakeholder conversations to understand requirements and present built solutions to team.
• Performing trend and predictive analysis to support decision making capabilities.
• Accurately test reporting solutions prior to implementation.
• Supporting the Senior Data Analyst in the development of reporting solutions by both improving the quality of existing reporting as well as designing and developing new reports.
• Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess ongoing performance against objectives.
• Working independently on a range of complex tasks.
• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
• Ensuring reports are complete, timely, and accurate.
• Documenting and maintaining operational procedures, design solutions and processes relating to analytical and reporting processes.
• Maintaining and updating both ad-hoc and regular reports and visualizations to effectively communicate data driven insights to users for a variety of audiences.
• Identifying, diagnosing, and solving problems with both data and visualizations.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and proven ability to problem solve.
• Experience working with data visualization tools, primarily Microsoft Power BI, to build interactive reports and complex dashboards for different target audiences.
• 5 years of relevant work experience in business analytics, reporting, data management, or other related experience in reporting and analytics.
• Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate an asset.
• Ability to deliver engaging and informative presentations.
• Relevant experience with DAX, M, SQL, Power BI
