General Insurance is a leading provider of insurance products and services for commercial and personal insurance customers. It includes one of the world’s most far-reaching property-casualty networks. General Insurance offers a broad range of products to customers through a diversified, multi-channel distribution network.
What you need to know:
- Coverage analysis of manuscript forms with the ability to tailor them to specific client needs
- Assist with budgeted profitability targets as identified by senior management for the zone
- Pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools
- Produce and underwrite new accounts through brokers from within the assigned territory of Central Canada
- Deliver presentations and market to brokers and insureds to effectively communicate AIG’s value proposition
- Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial property insurance of the AIG Central Canadian Property portfolio
- Help achieve set budget targets through organic growth and new business opportunities
What we are looking for:
- Strong working knowledge of the various applications in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Post-secondary education OR equivalent industry training and experience. Insurance industry accreditation is desirable
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, as well as in a team to accomplish goals
- Candidate should be results-oriented
- Experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing a large and diverse portfolio of property business including large, complex risks
