Property Accountant Jobs

Position Overview:

Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg's leader in Accounting & Finance recruitment, has partnered with our client in Winnipeg, to recruit a Property Accountant for their team. The successful Property Accountant will be responsible for conducting full cycle accounting for a number of property portfolios.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare year end audit working papers
• Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of Commercial/Residential properties
• Ad hoc projects and other duties as reasonably assigned from time to time.
• Preparation and review of monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement etc.)
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations
• Monthly billing of rent charges and deposits

Requirements:

• Strong time management skills, excellent people skills and must be highly organized.
• Experience and adaptability in using specialized accounting software like Yardi, Spectra, Quickbooks, Sage (required)
• A degree or diploma in accounting or business administration (required)
• 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in property accounting
