Property Accountant Office Jobs

Our client is a very prestigious REIT & Developer in the GTA we are conducting a search for a Property Accountant to join this dynamic team.

The Property Accountant is responsible for the financial management of all aspects of the Office Property Portfolio. This includes the preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial data, and the development and implementation of financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in the property management industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company's goals
• Manage the budget and ensure that it is in line with the company's financial goals
• Prepare financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
• Oversee the accounting function, including the hiring and training of staff
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Communicate with senior management and other stakeholders about financial matters

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• CPA or other professional accounting certification or working towards it
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is an asset
• 3 years Property Accounting experience with Office portfolio
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
