Property Accountant Residential Jobs

Our client is a very prestigious REIT & Developer in the GTA we are conducting a search for a Property Accountant to join this dynamic team.

The Property Accountant is responsible for the financial management of all aspects of the Residential Property Portfolio. This includes the preparation of financial reports, analysis of financial data, and the development and implementation of financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in the property management industry.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
• Communicate with senior management and other stakeholders about financial matters
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
• Oversee the accounting function, including the hiring and training of staff
• Manage the budget and ensure that it is in line with the company's financial goals
• Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve the company's goals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in property management or a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is an asset
• CPA or other professional accounting certification or working towards it
• 3 years Property Accounting experience with residential portfolio
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
