5+ years of commercial property underwriting experience and Canada marketplace knowledge

Solicit and review new and renewal property submission from various production sources throughout Canada

Subject to written underwriting authority prepare and present quotation terms and conditions as submitted.

As regards quoted terms or conditions outside underwriting authority, prepare written referral document and submit for approval to appropriate authority.

Review and approve binding terms and conditions for new and renewal business as well as endorsements and amendments to existing policies.

Strong relationship management skills and customer service orientation

Staff Management experience with multiple reporting departments.

Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the property through the onsite management team and supporting departments.

Produce annual budgets on behalf of the co-ownership as detailed in the Property Management Agreement.

Demonstrated flexibility, organizational and leadership qualities including strong people management, teamwork, coaching and mentoring.

Manage the roll out and updating of leasing agreements, understanding the landlord and tenant obligations under all aspects of the lease.

Post-secondary education in facilities/property management preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

In collaboration with next level management, defines personnel's skill/competency gaps and creates/implements career development plans.

5+ years of progressive commercial property management experience;

Strong customer service orientation/skills; commercial experience an asset.

Knowledge of facility operations/maintenance an asset; general knowledge of building systems and related codes/legislation an asset.

Seven (7) years of commercial/industrial property management experience required

Work with site management team to ensure systems are properly maintained and tenant’s needs are addressed in a timely manner

Provide monthly reporting to senior management regarding building operations and financial activity

Coordinate tenant related services with site management team

Creating and managing operating and capital budgets for properties in the assigned portfolio (subject to approval by the owner(s)).

Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial development, finance, or a related field.

Knowledge and experience in renewables, utilities (both regulated and unregulated), private equity, and real estate is an asset.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, engineering, finance, and operations, to ensure successful deal execution.

A university degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field. Professional designation (CPA, CFA, CBV) or MBA is ideal.

Experience in financial modeling and analysis, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or real estate sector.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in administration of commercial asset management (including air space parcels)

Partner with Director of Property Management to coordinate continued staff training

Develop and prepare the annual operating budget, discuss options/scenarios with H/Q Property Management

Develop and collect information for capital planning for discussion with H/Q Property Management

Maintain a comprehensive system of inventory management for all supplies and equipment which are located on site

Must have a sound understanding of commercial mixed-use retail management

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience managing commercial real estate.

Strong interpersonal skills along with high degree of professionalism and hunger for success

Must have experience with CAM Reconciliations and a strong financial/budgeting background.

Previous experience with managing a team

Generate Monthly Business Review, Board of Director, and other management presentations

At least 8 years of finance experience, primarily in an FP&A function

Plan, report, and manage sales operating expenses, including sales commissions and account marketing spend

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required

Experience with fast growing consumer brands sold through both retail and eCommerce channels is highly preferred

Experience working with the headquarters team for a global brand

Manage vacancies by creating renovation plans, listing available units, and reviewing all applications.

Assess all properties and create upgrade/efficiency plans, facilitate sub-trades and collect quotes, facilitate repairs, and manage sub-trade relationships for facility upgrades.

Assist with budgeted profitability targets as identified by senior management for the zone

Post-secondary education OR equivalent industry training and experience.  Insurance industry accreditation is desirable

Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial property insurance of the AIG Central Canadian Property portfolio 

Minimum 5 years of experience managing a large and diverse portfolio of property business including large, complex risks

Experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Bachelors degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of work and experience

4+ years of people leadership experience

Strong track record of sales experience in a quota-driven sales capacity, preferably in technology sales

Understanding of MEDDPIC selling skills is preferred, but not required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
