They are looking for a business and people leader with extensive 3PL partnership management experience to manage warehouse operations.
The Senior Director, Warehousing Operations is an integral hands-on leadership role responsible for building and delivering on key performance indicators and metrics, including cost reduction, inventory management, and speed of delivery. As a dynamic and hands-on professional, you will be directly responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the company's warehousing operations. This is a critical leadership role requiring a strong understanding of warehouse management principles, logistics, and inventory control. The ideal candidate will possess excellent managerial skills, a results-driven mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
This role is based in Toronto/North GTA and is ideal for a flexible, detailed, high-energy warehouse/logistics professional who likes to work in a scaling company. Having strong people management and coaching skills will be invaluable as you influence and lead the team to drive efficiencies and improvements.
Keys to success:
- Develop and execute strategic plans, collaborating with executive leadership to develop long-term strategies and short-term goals for warehouse operations within a 3PL environment
- Continuously assess warehouse operations, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Create new and optimize other initiatives with the 3PL to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and maximize resource utilization
- Build relationships with 3PL partners to influence outcomes
- Work closely with 3PL and transportation team to ensure adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs)
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analytics tools to measure and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations
- Collaborate with 3PL, sales, procurement, and production teams to develop efficient supply chain strategies
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust inventory management systems and processes through the 3PL
- Ensure comprehensive recordkeeping, reporting, and systems are in place to ensure the accuracy of data and compliance with regulatory and financial requirements

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and regulatory agencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and data analytics tools.
- Extensive experience leading teams and managing complex operations in a 3PL environment
- Undergraduate degree with 8+ years of experience in leading warehouse operations and managing teams, and currently at the Director level
