The Sr. Operations Science Analyst utilizes Operations Research, Machine Learning and Analytical techniques to solve complex supply chain problems. Working as part of a team, the Sr. Operations Science Analyst will be creating algorithms and optimization models to improve our customers’ operational efficiency. Our team tackles problems in warehousing, packaging and transportation that traditional systems and off the shelf software do not. Our team builds solutions in-house, with scalable platforms that can be extended globally.
Responsibilities

• Develop large-scale decision support tools based on optimization e.g., LP, MIP, NLP, etc...)
• Define the business questions that need be answered and determine appropriate analytical models and approaches to solving such problems
• Patent approaches and work with leading universities in researching future opportunities
• Identify opportunities for applying advanced optimization techniques across the supply chain
• Build high performance, high availability applications
• Code experience in object oriented languages like python and java
• Develop code independently
• Be able to work with algorithms and data structures and diagnose the root cause of problems
• Architect the development of new cloud based supply chain enterprise systems and applications, determining key design elements, technical specs, platforms and coding standards in Python or Java

Education And Experience

• Relevant work experience in supply chain modelling (e.g., scheduling, vehicle routing, facility location, assignment problems, warehouse picking optimization advanced heuristics)
• Masters or Ph.D. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Transportation Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
