Mevotech is a trusted North American aftermarket automotive parts supplier specialized in the engineering, design and distribution of driveline, steering and suspension parts.


Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Operations Director is responsible for leading and implementing best in class operational standards and controls, driving efficiencies and continuous improvement, increasing revenues and reducing costs, nurturing a culture that is streamlined with the organization’s values, and supporting accelerated growth.


Key Duties And Responsibilities


  • Lead and implement operational processes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain and oversee strategies and programs that drive operational efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Manage overall budget including forecasting, reporting on variances and reasons, communicating with team, and achieving budget/forecasted amounts.
  • Champion a safety-focused work environment to reduce/eliminate work-related accidents and injuries.
  • Support the Senior Vice President, Operations with facility planning, direction, and budgetary requirements.
  • Implement and monitor operational measures and KPI’s and track KPIs to improve safety, quality, order fill, on-time delivery, and costs.
  • Manage the facility’s Leadership team including the Packaging Manager and Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Work closely with the facility’s Human Resources Representative with regards to Union Grievances and Policy/Procedures.
  • Responsible for the productivity, efficiency and overall operations performance of the company’s largest warehouse facility.


Your Qualifications Include


  • Proven experience in both using data (KPIs) and reporting in a measurable way to achieve a specific strategic result that is relevant to the organization.
  • A hands-on leadership style, and a willingness and ability to “do the work” as well as manage others.
  • 10+ years of warehouse manufacturing or distribution management experience with a proven track record for driving efficiency within a distribution facility (Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Manufacturing Principles background preferred).
  • Engaging interpersonal skills and an excellent communicator, capable of building a strong understanding of opportunity and building enthusiasm for achieving goals.
  • A people developer who fully embraces leadership development and succession while ensuring all direct reports have appropriate personal development plans in place.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Intellectually curious with a strong operations and critical thinking mindset.
  • Experience in executing a strategic plan for the operational functions of a facility that aligns with the corporate strategies.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in an ever-changing environment.
