Position:Director of Marketing
Location:Richmond Hill Office– 55G East Beaver Creek Road. Richmond Hill, ON. Canada
Salary:The salary range for this position is$125,000to$155,000per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

By leveraging advanced technologies and innovative designs, we aim to elevate the pickup truck to new heights of functionality, convenience, and sustainability.We’re committed to high-quality products that redene the pickup truck accessory market by providing tonneau offerings that offer an elevated experience over traditional tonneau covers, working to bring the manufacturing of its hard covers to North America and developing next-generation tonneau covers that provide solar-generated power, adding driving range to EV pickups, and creating mobile nano-grids.We have offices in Canada and the US, with employees spanning across both countries. We also operate a factory in China predominantly focused on our conventional truck accessories.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Marketing atWorksportyou will be a key player in driving our marketing strategies and initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will also have the unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO,COO, Executive Director ofSalesand Customer Service, allowing you to provide critical insights and contribute directly to the company's overall strategy and growth.
Opportunity to Build and Lead:You will be entrusted with building the entire marketing department from the ground up. Your expertise and vision will be instrumental in shaping and implementing comprehensive marketing plans that align with the company's long-term goals.
Hands-on Approach and Growth Potential:During the initial phase, you will roll up your sleeves and lead by example, taking a hands-on approach to execute marketing strategies. As our company grows, there is tremendous potential for you to grow into a more senior position, expanding your leadership responsibilities and making a lasting impact on the organization.
Responsibilities:
1.Establish and Build the Marketing Department:You will be responsible for creating and developing the entire marketing department, including designing the organizationalstructure, defining roles and responsibilities, and strategically hiring top marketing talent.
2.Hands-on Execution:During the initial phase, you will directly lead marketing campaigns, create content, and drive marketing initiatives to establish a strong foundation for the department.
3.Develop and Execute Strategic Marketing Plans:Collaborate with product management and sales teams to create compelling marketing campaigns that support product launches, sales efforts, and overall brand growth.
4.Leadership and Team Management:Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure the successful execution of marketing campaigns.
5.Data-driven Decision Making:Utilize data-driven insights to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-backed decisions to optimize performance and drive continuous improvement.
6.Market Research and Competitor Analysis:Stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and proactively address challenges.
7.Comprehensive Marketing Strategies:Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing, content marketing, social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, events, and other relevant channels.
8.Budget Management:Manage marketing budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI and measurable results.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
2.8+years of experience in marketing roles, with3+years in a leadership position.
3.Proven success in developing and implementing successful marketing strategiesrelated consumer products.
4.4. Experience with essential marketing tools and software programs commonly used within a marketing department, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics,Hootsuiteor similar platforms,Klaviyoor comparable platforms, and more.
5.Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
6.Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
7.Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple projects.
8.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
9.Passion for marketing innovation and keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices.
10.Experience in building a marketing department from the ground up is a significant plus.
