Sr. Director, Strategy & Projects – Market (Contract Position – 12 months)


This is an exciting opportunity to lead the overall strategic plan and implement critical initiatives for Market Division. As part of the Market Leadership Team, reporting directly to the President, you will help develop the long-term divisional strategy using a customer-centric and colleague-centric approach. You will lead the Strategy & Projects team to implement strategic projects in support of merchandising and operations initiatives. This role works directly with key internal/external partners from various areas of the business and levels within the organization.


Accountabilities


  • Lead and handle various strategic projects & initiatives within the division; support enterprise projects as required
  • Prepare executive presentation materials for internal & external meetings, including Management Board and Board of Director meetings
  • Lead the overall planning process by working with the Market leadership team and central support functions (e.g., marketing, e-commerce, loyalty, etc.)
  • Build effective working relationships and collaborate across the enterprise
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the Market Leadership team, providing data-based insights and finding opportunities to build value in the division
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Strategy & Project team


Role Requirements


  • Excellent relationship builder and collaborator
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and challenging the status quo for continuous improvement
  • Superior leadership, analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
  • University or college degree in Business, or an equivalent degree in a related field of study
  • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in a strategy or analytical setting
  • Ability to effectively communicate to and influence all levels of the organization
