Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Analytics to lead our analytical efforts in the dynamic and fast-paced Fashion and Retail industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analytics, a deep understanding of Point of Sale (POS), Ecommerce, and Wholesale operations, and a proven track record of driving data-driven decision-making within a fashion and retail context. As the Director of Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, optimizing business processes, and fostering a culture of informed decision-making working with renowned brands like Reebok, Ted Baker, Brooks Brothers, and Lucky Brands.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Insights and Reporting: Oversee the creation of actionable, relevant, and timely reports and dashboards that deliver insights into sales trends, customer behaviors, inventory management, and other key performance indicators. Identify opportunities for business growth and process optimization based on data-driven insights.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Operations, and Finance to understand business needs, provide insights, and recommend data-driven solutions. Translate complex analytics concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing analytics team, providing mentorship and guidance to analysts and data scientists. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages continuous learning and development.
  • Advanced Analytics: Drive the application of advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling, segmentation, and machine learning, to derive deeper insights into customer preferences, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Data Governance and Quality: Develop and maintain data governance policies and practices to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations with internal Data Governance team. Implement measures to continuously improve data quality across all systems.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for various business functions. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data initiatives and analytics projects to measure their impact on business outcomes.
  • Technology and Tools: Stay updated on the latest analytics tools and technologies. A through understanding of OSL analytics platform is required to ensure data accuracy, security, and scalability.
  • Data Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives and growth targets. Identify opportunities to leverage data to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency across Point of Sale, Ecommerce, and Wholesale channels.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in leading and managing teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their applications in retail analytics is a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities from data insights.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Domo, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of retail and fashion-specific KPIs, metrics, and operational processes.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior analytics role within the Fashion and Retail industry, with a focus on Point of Sale, Ecommerce, and Wholesale operations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or related disciplines).
