Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Director of Business Intelligence will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions using mainly but not exclusively SAP tools and technologies. The successful candidate will manage a team of BI professionals and work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and deliver BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITITIES

  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of ETL processes for data integration.
  • Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, including data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and dashboards.
  • Ensure that BI solutions are integrated with other systems and processes within the organization.
  • Ensure that BI solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to BI solutions.
  • Manage a team of BI professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and mentoring.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of data analytics tools and technologies and keep up to date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for BI initiatives, including identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and requirements and develop BI solutions that meet those needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of BI professionals.
  • Strong technical skills in SAP tools and technologies, including SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, and Power BI.
  • At least 10 years of experience in SAP Business Intelligence development and implementation, including experience in data warehousing, reporting, analytics, and dashboards.

Additional experience with other BI platforms will be strong assets.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical and business issues.
  • Experience working in a global, multi-site organization is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in SAP tools and technologies, including SAP BW, SAP HANA, SAP BusinessObjects, andSAP Lumira.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
