Reporting to the AVP & Chief Technology Officer, the Sr Manager, Data and Analytics is responsible for delivering transformative data, analytics and AI solutions supporting the priorities and longer-term strategies of the company.
NAV CANADA is in an era of technology enabled transformation. NAV CANADA's Data, Analytics and AI Strategy will improve our ability to respond to a rapidly changing and complex environment, through better data-driven analytics, decision support and data management. It will guide the development and sustainment of the technology environment and governance required to support our culture and empower our people in the achievement of our strategic direction and the management of daily operations.
This position will be responsible for establishing the plans and delivering the initiatives to successfully transition NAV CANADA through these changes.

In this role you will:
- Have responsibility for creating and maintaining NAV CANADA’s Data, Analytics & AI Technology Vision, Strategies and Roadmaps, aligned with NAV CANADA’s Data, Analytics & AI Strategy and Operating Model.
- Research and interpret industry and technology trends that could impact the Data, Analytics and AI Vision, Strategies and Roadmaps.
- Provide leadership and accountability to successfully implement initiatives that drive business value.
- Drive technology business decisions for all investments required to fulfill the Solution Roadmaps including vendor and solution selection for software, hardware, and implementation.
- Have responsibility over the life of the solutions from initial development, through deployment and adoption, ongoing support and ultimately to end of service.
What you bring:
- Undergraduate degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Excellent technology management skills and system-thinking skills; including the drive to continuously educate themselves to keep up with emerging trends.
- Strong familiarity with the principles of Technology product delivery
- Experience managing managers is desirable
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in Technology, Air Traffic Management, or other relevant business
- 3-5 years of experience managing high-performing teams and projects in a Technology-enabled environment, with demonstrated experience leading through change
- Master of Business Administration or advanced Technology degree is an asset
- Significant experience with advanced technologies in the areas of Data, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence

Working Conditions:
- Occasional Travel required, domestic and international
- This position may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement
