Job Description

The Company: Dimensional Strategies Inc. (DSI), is a premier Microsoft partner located in the GTA. Our customer base extends across Canada and the contiguous US states. DSI’s primary goal is to help our customers execute their business processes more efficiently and effectively via investments in applications and analytics. Core practices include – Cloud Infrastructure, Application Development, Analytics, and Managed Services.


The Role: Customer Value Lead – Support Specialist

At DSI we build confidence in our delivery capabilities by providing our customers with one-year of managed services support for all solutions we build for them. Most customers choose to pay us for continued support after this warranty period concludes.

As a Customer Value Lead, you will be responsible for monitoring and remediating any issues with their applications as well as help them understand the benefits of extending their support agreements with DSI.

Our support specialists are not just their to maintain legacy systems, they are also required to enhance and developer new applications as well. Responsibilities:


· Providing escalation-level customer support and platform enhancements, on our managed service agreements.

· Monitoring data processes and pipelines and ensuring these complete successfully on schedule.

· Technical documentation creation and control.

· Collaboration with colleagues or lead on incremental changes, or other small-scope solution development and delivery.

· Customer satisfaction and contract renewal for which you will receive additional financial compensation.


Requirements:


· Understanding of logical and physical data models.

· Analytical thinker – people who enjoy solving problems will excel in this role.

· The ability to identify issues and opportunities, to improve the performance and resilience of the solutions we manage.

· Ability and attitude towards investigating and sharing new technologies, and a willingness to learn based on constructive feedback.

· Good interpersonal skills.

· Interested in learning cloud-based data engineering tools, such as Azure Data Factory and Spark.

· Familiarity with modern cloud-based data platform services, such as Databricks, Azure Analysis Services and Synapse Analytics.

· An understanding of, and the expertise to leverage tools such as Power BI for data visualization, together with the administration & development of a Power BI implementation.

· Proven knowledge of SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and associated BI technologies.

· Proven experience in other areas of SQL Server development technology including stored procedures, functions and triggers.

· A solid understanding of database design, T-SQL query & performance tuning & optimisation.

· The ability to develop and support code standards, best practice, configuration and change management processes and procedures and show the ability to operate in an iterative development environment.

· A solid understanding and ability to follow policies, standards and procedures related to the technical components of a systems development cycle.
